The Role
The Operations Support Technician provides hands-on operational and facility support across multiple areas of the site. This role is designed to be flexible and task-driven, supporting production, compliance, inventory accuracy, sanitation, and overall facility upkeep. Operations Support Technicians are expected to support both routine operations and special projects to ensure the facility remains compliant, organized, and production-ready. Availability needed: 2nd shift, or 3rd shift, or weekends.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Operational & Production Support
- Perform seed-to-sale labeling in compliance with regulatory and company requirements
- Support ad hoc labeling and rework activities
- Assist with machine trimming and bucking operations
- Support rework initiatives across departments
- Perform duties as assigned to support daily operations
- Additional duties as assigned
Inventory & Organization
- Reconcile packaging component inventory and support inventory accuracy
- Participate in 5S activities to maintain organized, efficient workspaces
- Additional duties as assigned
Laundry & Sanitation
- Wash and maintain uniforms and work garments
- Support sanitation activities during assigned shifts, including night sanitation coverage
- Additional duties as assigned
Facility & Grounds Maintenance
- Perform general facility cleaning and sanitation
- Conduct carpet cleaning as needed
- Perform basic painting and minor facility refresh work
- Hang signage, equipment, and materials as directed
- Power wash building exterior and designated areas
- Clean interior and exterior windows
- Perform landscaping and lawn care activities
- Clean and maintain facility vehicles
- Move and stage pallets to designated outdoor locations
- Additional duties as assigned
Safety & Compliance
- Be aware of hazards in the workspace.
- Retain and understand department specific training.
- Report safety incidents/ concerns and comply with follow-up actions.
- Be compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations and PPE requirements.
- Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirements.
- Perform record keeping accurately and completely as directed by a lead or supervisor.
- Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment and machinery as directed by a lead or supervisor as well as use cleaning equipment, power washers, and basic tools
- Report and escalate safety & quality concerns.
Working Conditions
- Must be comfortable working in a cannabis manufacturing and cultivation facility
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions
- Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (and up to 100 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with product
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
- Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil)
- Work involves daily exposure to machinery, production equipment, and chemicals
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production environment
- Willingness to perform a wide range of physical and operational tasks
Additional Requirements
- Must passany and allrequired background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver's license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
