Interaction with young adults, ages 17-24 inclusive, promoting career-decision-making; assisting in the implementation of career/employment plans; promoting employment acquisition; developing and conducting social media outreach activities; working as part of a Business Services Team; and other duties as described below

Job Description
  • Conducts searches for suitable job openings for clients, comparing client qualifications with employer's requirements
  • Establishes and maintains active and frequent contact with local employers
  • Develops and maintains detailed knowledge of the local labor market
  • Establishes rapport with area businesses; maintains on-going relationships with businesses
  • Assists employers in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified applicants
  • Maintains a current listing of local job opportunities
  • Keeps project staff apprised of local business needs and job placement opportunities
  • Works with case management staff to facilitate job placements
  • Ensures updated information in both electronic and paper participant files reflecting the job searchactivityof a program participant including log of supportive services issued
  • Provides case management with a focus on helping clients to prepare for employment that leads to self-sufficiency
  • Maintains follow-up contact with employers to determine satisfaction with services and plan for quality improvement
  • Arranges for employers to speak to candidates about employment and employer expectations
  • Sets up job fairs and employer hiring events. Flexible to occasionally work outside of normal business hours for events and/or to meet deadlines
  • Creating content, including text posts,video,and images for use on social media
  • Promoting products,services,and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with an organization's brand and social media strategy
  • Scheduling social media posts using applications such as CANVAand constant contact
  • Coordinate and administer the development of quality social media content targeted at youth between the ages of 17-24
  • Assistin the intake services for the Center

  • May be assigned other tasks and dutiesreasonably relatedto their job responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or 2 years work experience in business to business sales, marketing, customer service, staffing or recruiting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills. Strong presentation skills with public speaking or outside sales experience
  • Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources
  • Demonstrates knowledge of labor market trends
  • Friendly, professional demeanor
  • Ability to work well in teams and independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Creating and publishing content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to grow an audience, build brand awareness,andboostengagement.
  • Must have experience with social media influencing/posting content.
  • Ability to make small group and 1-1 presentations to individuals and business representatives
  • Ability to multi-task in afast-pacedwork environment with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing and proof of current automobile insurance required
