A Day in the Life of the Senior Manager, Sales Development:

The Senior Manager of Sales Development drives sales effectiveness, operational excellence, and strategic enablement across the Direct Sales, Retail and Indirect sales channels. This role leads sales reporting, support training initiatives and technology adoption, event execution, and partner engagement to support a high-performing, growth-oriented sales organization.

  • Lead all reporting and analytics for the residential sales organization.

  • Build and maintain performance dashboards, funnel metrics, and territory-level insights to support data-driven decision making.

  • Provide actionable analytics to inform coaching, strategic planning, and resource allocation.

  • Develop real-time individual performance scorecards encompassing sales results, order accuracy, and commission metrics.

  • Analyze data to identify trends, diagnose productivity gaps, and uncover opportunities to improve sales performance.

  • Design and execute sales enablement strategies that align with organizational priorities and drive revenue growth.

  • Assess sales processes to identify performance gaps and develop measurable, data-driven improvement plans.

  • Conduct competitive and market analysis, monitor industry trends, and partner with Marketing to align messaging and customer insights across channels.

  • Support long-term planning for sales channel expansion, operational efficiency, and overall go-to-market effectiveness.

  • Build and manage onboarding programs for new hires across all residential sales channels.

  • Partner with the training team to support the ongoing development of training on products, sales techniques, compliance, systems, and industry trends.

  • Drive coaching programs that reinforce continuous skill development and performance improvement.

  • Partner with Field Sales Leaders and Retail Operations to ensure training and operational processes are accurate, consistent, and impactful.

  • Manage sales enablement platforms, including the CRM and associated analytics tools.

  • Promote adoption of technologies that streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance overall productivity.

  • Apply advanced Excel and Tableau skills to create automated dashboards, visualizations, and actionable performance insights.

  • Collaborate with IT to optimize system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and support evolving user requirements.

  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions that strengthen sales effectiveness and operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate and support Direct Sales and Retail Store events across the region.

  • Collaborate with Field Sales Leaders and Retail Operations to plan, execute, and assess event performance and effectiveness.

  • Administer the Leasing Agent Incentive Program (LAIP), including gift card coordination, tracking, and compliance oversight.

  • Ensure events and incentive programs enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and drive sales conversion.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for non-bulk MDU properties, ensuring consistent communication and support.

  • Conduct regular property visits and maintain ongoing engagement with leasing staff to strengthen partnership and alignment.

  • Coordinate distribution of marketing collateral and support onsite event participation to drive resident engagement.

  • Build and maintain strong property relationships to increase service penetration and enhance resident awareness.

  • Actively support, promote, and advance all aspects of Astound's Inclusion and Belonging work, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard, and empowered.

What You Bring to the Table:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • 5+ Years of experience in sales development, sales operations or sales enablement

  • 10+ years of Telecom experience in retail operations and event management preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, automation, and modeling) and Tableau (dashboard development, data visualization, and analytics).

  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience creating dashboards, reports, and actionable performance insights.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce and related sales analytics tools.

  • Proven ability to facilitate and deliver effective training programs.

  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Ability to travel across the region as required.

Base Salary: The base salary range inTX for this position is $100,000 - $137,000 annually, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific toTX and may not be applicable to other locations.
