A Day in the Life of the Sales Specialist:

The Sales Specialist delivers real-time operational, analytical, and administrative support to Astound's residential sales teams. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy across work orders, commission processing, territory assignments, and installation workflows, helping maintain revenue integrity while enhancing the overall customer experience.

  • Oversee the Direct Sales Agent permit process by securing required permits, monitoring expiration dates, coordinating renewals, and ensuring full compliance with state and local municipal regulations to prevent any interruptions to field operations.
  • Triage customer escalations to resolve or escalate to sales, dispatch, customer care and operations as needed to resolve order-related issues promptly
  • Provide reporting, such as activation, exception, and trend reports, to support coaching and operational decisionmaking.
  • Monitor and validate work orders in real time to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with sales and operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot order errors, missing data, and activation issues to prevent installation delays or revenue loss.
  • Maintain the Commission Calculator, ensuring accuracy of inputs, rules, and payout logic.
  • Validate and process commissioneligible work orders for timely and accurate payment.
  • Investigate commission disputes, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain auditready documentation.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales Leadership to ensure consistent application of commission policies.
  • Maintain accurate territory assignments and updates for the sales teams, ensuring sales activity is accurately mapped to the correct territory for reporting and compensation purposes.
  • Support leadership with territory realignment recommendations, new build expansions, and coverage optimization.
  • Track daily and weekly work order activation performance for all sales channels.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Monitor installation schedules and proactively identify atrisk appointments.
  • Partner with Sales, Field Operations, Dispatch, Finance, HR, and Customer Care to resolve issues and streamline processes.
  • Support new initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvements impacting the assigned sales channels.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on recurring issues, system gaps, or training needs.
  • Support special projects, reporting requests, system testing, and operational initiatives as needed.
  • Assist leadership with adhoc analysis, presentations, or field support activities.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

Experience:

  • 2-4 years in a sales operation, order management, customer operations or a related support function

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of work order management systems, field operations workflows, and sales processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data validation, document design, and high-quality presentation development.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and professional messages.
  • Familiar with CRM and order management platforms; Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical capability with demonstrated ability to interpret data, identify trends, and deliver actionable business insights.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and proven success collaborating across crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fastpaced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Base Salary: The base salary range in Texas for this position is $24.04- $27.64hourly, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific toTexas and may not be applicable to other locations.
