Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a full-time Engineer Level 2 | Public Area Painter for the beautiful Barton Creek Resort & Spa!

Responsibilities

Painting & Finishing Excellence

    Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming.
  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, and specialty finishes using professional techniques.
  • Match colors and maintain consistency with Omni design standards.
  • Perform touch-ups and repainting to keep guest areas pristine.

Preventive Maintenance & Repairs

  • Make repairs to wall vinyl.
  • Inspect painted surfaces regularly for wear and damage.
  • Assist with minor wall and trim repairs prior to painting.
  • Interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Address maintenance-related guest concerns and requests promptly.

Inventory & Equipment Management:

  • Track paint supplies and tools, ensuring proper storage and cleanliness.
  • Coordinate with vendors for specialty finishes and materials.

General Maintenance Support

  • Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
  • Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks as needed.
  • Complete Synergy work orders, with brief notes on the service work performed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance responsibilities on all guest rooms as assigned.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow Omni safety protocols and use proper PPE.
  • Maintain compliance with local building and fire codes.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
  • Work as a team to keep the back of house areas and equipment in safe, good working order.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the importance of Lock out Tag out, the dangers of arc flashes and other precautions that need to be taken around equipment.


Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in painting and maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, color matching, and surface preparation.
  • Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Basic understanding of general maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA Safety regulations.
  • The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • The ability to crawl for short periods of time.
  • The ability to bend, reach over-head, squat, kneel for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
