Position Description: Assist Estimating team to determine quantities of materials and components associated with a project or estimate and assist with communicating bids and scopes of work.

Reports to: Estimator or Senior Estimator

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with document management for project, including receiving drawings and specifications, and provide proper file structure and distribution to stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparation of quantity take-offs and conduct research studies for project items
  • Serve as liaison with trade partners on distribution of bid information and bid status.
  • Prepare correspondence as directed by assigned Estimator to vendors and trade partners in connection with performing their assigned trades.
  • Request, file, and distribute trade partner proposals relative to their scope of work to bid package managers.
  • Attend and assist with preparing action items and minutes associated with department meetings.
  • Assist with action items related to value analysis process and post bid meetings.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be 88,000.00 - 94,000.00 USD annualized.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of college education from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction, or relevant education, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge of general contract, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications desired
  • Ability to follow and take directions, ask questions, and follow through on commitments
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with computer applications and Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Limited travel

The noise in the construction work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
