Pay rate :$24 per hour

Job Summary:

The Facilities Specialist is responsible for general maintenance support (to include basic maintenance and setup tasks), coordinating building operations (events/service visits/building inspections) and inventory/supply oversight (supply ordering/recycling). Occasional local site travel required

Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Daily building inspections & facility maintenance work order completion

  • Event support (to include coordination, set up, occasional after-hour weekend events). Escorting building maintenance contractors as assigned

  • Maintaining copier paper and toner supplies, and ordering supplies when required

  • Overseeing Lighting/Ballast/Battery and Hazardous waste recycling program.

  • Creating access badges as requested

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintaining inventory of supplies (paint/patch/tool/light bulbs)

  • Travel locally between sites to assist with facilities projects

  • Executing internal moves and associated furniture set-up

  • Supporting mailroom operations as needed

  • Inspecting and replacing lights as needed

  • Supporting snow removal as needed

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.

  • Technical school apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.

  • 1-2 years of experience in general building maintenance required.

  • Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Requires excellent verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.

  • Ability to utilize standard office equipment to include copiers, fax machines, etc.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and act upon those conclusions as may be deemed necessary.

  • Must be a well-organized, self-directed team player able to relate to customers and employees at all levels.

  • Must possess the ability to solve a variety of logistical and customer service-related challenges in a timely manner.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Independent judgment or initiative is expected.

  • Ability to speak to others and convey information effectively.

  • Must be familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
