Job Title: Contracts Administrator

Location: Birmingham, AL 35203

Duration: 8+ months (Possible Extension)

Position Summary

The Contracts Administrator 3 (CAD3) provides expert-level support to the Contracts Management team, leveraging 11+ years of experience to ensure seamless, compliant, and efficient contract administration processes.

This role is responsible for independently reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing complex contracts while maintaining strict adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in contract law, lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities



  • Independently review, draft, and negotiate complex contracts including vendor agreements, client contracts, and related legal documents
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized records of contracts, amendments, and supporting documentation
  • Oversee full contract lifecycle management, including milestones, deliverables, compliance tracking, and obligations
  • Act as liaison between Contracts Management and cross-functional teams including Legal, Procurement, and Finance
  • Lead intricate contract negotiations and amendments, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior contracts administrators as needed
  • Support development and enhancement of contract management systems and databases
  • Identify risks, resolve discrepancies, and ensure contract compliance
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to improve contract administration processes and best practices


Required Qualifications



  • 11+ years of progressive experience in contract administration
  • Advanced knowledge of contract law and legal terminology
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements
  • Proven expertise in contract lifecycle management
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with advanced contract management systems/software
