Shipping Clerk

Summary

Job will primarily be, but not limited to, gathering shipment characteristics and data. Data entry to create shipping documents and maintain tracking spreadsheets. Processing orders for shipment. Provide information to internal departments and to the field regarding progress of their order. Document and communicate the location of freight and/or material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicates daily with internal and external customers, field representatives, freight carriers, the shipping dock , and between the shipping and transportation departments
• Schedules and processes shipments for all modes of transportation and prepares and maintains all pertinent paperwork
• Prepare freight quotes and review quotes/orders for freight charge accuracy
• Works daily in Microsoft D365 ERP system
• Coordinate and communicate the logistics of any Gametime shipment originating from SFC
• Other duties as assigned my manager or supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree not required. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or customer service roll preferred
• Must have excellent telephone and communication skills with the ability to deal with potentially irate customers, representatives, or vendors in a professional manner
• Must have excellent written and oral skills
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Strong attention to detail
• Should be proficient in Excel, Word, Email communication

Travel

Minimal if any travel required

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft office

applications such as Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Word etc.

• Experience with an MRP/ERP system preferred but not required.

The noise level in the work environment is somewhat noisy. In the manufacturing environment PPE will be required.
