Description

The Morse Apartments (LCOR) is currently seeking an experienced Community Manager in Washington, DC with at least 3 - 5 years' experience in Rental Property Management.

Job responsibilities for the position include all activities related to apartment operations including, but not limited to, the general administration and maintenance of the community, direction and control of all personnel and resources to ensure that community is maintained at all times in good physical condition with a stabilized fiscal operation and ensuring that all employees under your supervision are familiar with and understand the company policies and procedures, safety and fair housing law guidelines and liability concerns.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Manage day to day operations of the community.
  • Create, maintain and encourage excellent resident relations by all members of the team.
  • Manage the maintenance of the community with the assistance of the maintenance team.
  • Maintain and manage all financial responsibilities on the community.
  • Manage and monitor all rental collection on the community.
  • Responsible for all personnel issues on the community.
  • Responsible for all Safety on the community.
  • Manage, create and monitor all aspects of marketing for the community.
  • Responsible for vendor contract administration.
  • Manage Revenue Management/Pricing at the community.
  • Manage community renovations with Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ability to work weekends and after hours as necessary due to emergency or business need.


Interested candidates should possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications:



  • 3-5 years' experience in Community Management
  • Experience with MS Office/Word/Excel and Yardi
  • A track record of building, developing & retaining high performance teams
  • A track record of building & maintaining strong relationships with residents, ownership groups, and vendors
  • Strong financial skills and experience creating / managing a budget
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Minimum of three to five years Property Manager experience required, high-rise luxury and lease up experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) credential strongly preferred.
