Project Specialist - Talent Acquisition

Summary

The Talent Acquisition Project Specialist will be responsible for the administration of essential department initiatives including all contract, resource, travel, and all other contingent workforce programming, hiring, onboarding and employment compliance. The Project Specialist will also be responsible for the development of candidate pools and sourcing passive candidates for current requisitions based on need. This role will play a pivotal part in the development and execution of talent acquisition programs, lean process mapping and fostering a collaborative environment with system leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, process improvement, and a passion for driving organizational success through effective talent acquisition initiatives.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of talent acquisition programs, focusing on process optimization, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing talent acquisition processes and identify areas for improvement.

  • Leverage lean process strategies and a focus on continues improvement.

  • Utilize and analyze talent acquisition metrics to provide data-driven decisions and recommendations.

  • Develop and lead training programs that educate leaders and employees on new processes and tools.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure we remain competitive in attracting top talent.

  • Collaborate directly with hospital leaders to develop new pathways/programs for talent acquisition and refine the programs used to develop and grow current hospital team members.

  • Administers contingent workforce programs including the Travel Pool Staff, Student to Professional Programs, International recruiting, and external staffing agency workforce.

  • Responsible for the full lifecycle recruitment process for the contingent workforce

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal needs and serve as a subject matter expert in recruitment

  • Consult and partner with hiring managers and/or vendors to ensure we obtain pertinent information that will aide in drafting postings, sourcing, and qualifying active and passive candidates

  • Source, screen, prequalify, interview, and evaluate candidates to determine their competencies and qualification for employment

  • Proactively use vendors and resources to search for talent to develop and maintain a pipeline of candidates

  • Contract administration of all vendors for contingent workforce including reviewing language, send, and obtain signed copies.

  • Administer the Travel Pool Staff for helping identify need, schedules, and ensure timecard entry. Obtain evaluations of Travel staff from departments served. Assist Travel Pool in housing needs.

  • Administer the external staff agency relationship through identifying the internal need for workforce, outlining the specific need, obtaining contracts, and onboarding of the contract workforce.

  • Coordinate the Student to Professional Program by partnering with universities to find candidates and build sourcing pool and identifying scholarship opportunities

  • Develop & oversee sourcing strategies that drive us towards organizational goals:

  • Partner with hiring managers and talent acquisition team to build sourcing strategies to identify appropriate skill sets to meet current and future resource demands

  • Monitor recruitment sourcing methods and assist with recommendations to improve applicant attraction

  • Suggest innovative solutions to sourcing challenges

  • Develop and implement direct mailing and email campaigns for hard to fill positions

  • Submit short-listed candidates to talent acquisition specialists for review and arrange candidate interviews with recruiters as needed

Customer Service Responsibilities

Essential Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and one or more years of Recruitment Experience.

  • Staff, volunteer, or intern management experience

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills

  • Strong understanding of lean methodologies and experience with process mapping techniques

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once

  • Demonstrated highly effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Competent in computer skills,

  • Experience with Workday HRIS, CRM, Job Boards, Advertising solutions

  • Some air travel required to attend job fairs and conferences

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years recruiting and/or human resources experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Human Resources, or other related area

  • Master's Degree or equivalent work experience in related field preferred

  • PMP/CAPM or Six Sigma preferred within first year of employment

  • Past experience in health care
