Job Description

IDS is seeking a motivated Chemical and Nuclear Surety Analyst to provide analytical support and coordination on chemical and nuclear surety issues across defense programs. This role supports compliance, inspection readiness, and surety-related operations through research, coordination, and project management. The analyst will engage with key defense organizations, contribute to multi-stakeholder initiatives, and support the implementation of surety-related policies and guidance.

Key Duties

* Interact with Service Staff, Joint Staff (JS), and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) on chemical and nuclear surety matters.
* Support chemical or nuclear surety inspection and compliance (I&C) activities at both guidance and operational levels.
* Assist in planning, directing, and managing complex projects with multiple points of contact.
* Conduct research and analysis to support surety policies, operational assessments, and leadership decision-making.
* Prepare briefings, reports, and documentation related to chemical and nuclear surety programs.
* Track compliance activities, inspection results, and readiness actions.
* Support internal and external working groups, engagements, and coordination forums.
* Ensure all activities support mission requirements and comply with applicable safety and security standards.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, technical, management, or a related discipline.
* 2-5 years of experience:
* Engaging with Service Staff, Joint Staff, and OSD organizations.
* Working chemical or nuclear surety inspection and compliance issues at a guidance or operational level.
* Planning, directing, or managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
* SECRET clearance required.
