The Salvation Army Midland Division Corps located in Jacksonville, IL, is looking for a Corps Administrator. This individual will be pro-actively perform corps office manager duties to include coordinates and implements accounting functions, Human Resource functions, General Office functions and assist to corps ministry opportunities Essential Functions Ecumenical Responsibilities - this position acts as the lead pastor for congregational life at the Jacksonville Corps Community Center.
Development, Fund Raising, Community Liaison and Social Services Responsibilities - this position oversees the overall program outreach for the Salvation Army's internal and external programs and represents the Salvation Army in the community as a uniform wearing Salvationist.
Business Operations Responsibilities - Oversee and implement the overall business functions of the unit and is responsible to operate in good fiscal health.
Minimum Qualifications High School diploma with one year of college level business or administrative training with two years' work related (business/finance/accounting/management and/or office management) experience. Combination of training and experience will be considered. Must understand business management, finances, and/or accounting. Human Resources experience a plus. Proficiency in computer spreadsheet software and word processing. LAN experience is a plus. Good communication & organizational skills required. Must be a team player, a self-starter, able to handle several projects at the same time and perform well with minimum supervision. Must demonstrate ability to think independently and exercise sound judgment. Requires a high level of confidentiality. Must have appropriate drivers' licenses (12-passenger van requires a class "E" for MO and "JO2" designation for IL) and pass TSA MVR check. Knowledge of Knowledge of The Salvation Army and Government, State and community resources is helpful. Must have working knowledge of computers with Microsoft experience a plus. Physical and Working Conditions Capable of performing in an office environment to include using a computer, answering phones, etc. Most work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. | |
