Key Responsibilities HR Administration & Records Management
- Assist the HR Coordinator with all Aspects of HR responsibilities.
- Review of new hire packet, and data entry of information into ADP.
- Review of counseling, disciplinary, termination and status change notices, and associated data entry.
- Monitor and track registry clears for background checks for potential employees and volunteers.
- Sending applicants the onboarding paperwork and going through the new hire packet with employees.
- Assisting with filing auto loss, property damage, and general liability claims with insurance carrier.
- Filing paperwork into employee files
- Printing forms to send to individual stores.
- Checking inter-office mail multiple times per day.
- Assisting with writing the minutes for the Advisory Council meetings as well as communicating with Advisory Council board members via email for polls, invitations, and updates.
- Assist with DOT paperwork, running MVR's and scheduling DOT physicals.
- Assisting with time card entry or review.
- Special reports as requested by the HR Coordinator, Bookkeeper, and Administrator.
- Responsibilities of the HR Coordinator during vacation or illness.
- Must be available for a flexible schedule as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army and the purpose of the Adult Rehabilitation Center.
Qualifications Education & Experience
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and at least six months releated experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Administrative and clerical experience is desirable.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to speak, write and understand enblish in a manner sufficient for effective communication with beneficiaries, management and staff.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common reports and documents.
- Basic computer skills including, but not limited to MS Office, Exel, data management, and all other programs or systems that are adopted by The Salvation Army ARC.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, adminstration adn employees in both written and verbal formats.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Knowledge of ADP timekeeping software is desirable.

Travel Occasional travel to various Family Store and warehouse locations. Occasional other travel as assigned. Work Environment
