Purpose of the Role
The Senior Workface Planner plays a critical role in supporting Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change by providing leadership and direction to construction planning and execution activities. This role ensures construction work is planned, sequenced, and executed efficiently to support safe, predictable project delivery while maintaining alignment with customer objectives, contractual commitments, and Worley's values.

Working within a collaborative, data-centric project environment, the Senior Workface Planner supports Worley's ambition to be recognized as a global leader in sustainability solutions by enabling disciplined project delivery that balances schedule certainty, cost control, environmental responsibility, and long-term asset viability. The role contributes directly to Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world by helping projects transition from engineering to construction in a measured and well-managed way.

Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for workface planning activities to support safe, efficient, and sustainable construction execution across assigned projects.

Translate customer objectives, contract requirements, and engineering deliverables into executable construction work packages that align with project schedules, budgets, and sustainability commitments.

Plan, coordinate, and integrate construction activities in partnership with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to ensure continuity from early planning through installation and commissioning.

Support Worley's data-centric delivery approach by utilizing established systems, processes, and tools to improve work packaging, sequencing, and field productivity.

Identify planning risks and constraints early and collaborate with project stakeholders to develop practical, compliant, and value-focused solutions that support long-term asset performance.

Ensure workface plans reflect Worley's commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible resource use while meeting customer and regulatory expectations.

Provide day-to-day guidance on project and company policies, adapting organizational plans to set direction for construction teams and support project objectives.

Contribute to resolving complex technical and execution challenges by applying broad functional knowledge and leveraging internal expertise and established procedures.

Communicate clearly and persuasively with construction teams, project leadership, and stakeholders through reports, presentations, and collaborative planning sessions.

Assign work and provide technical guidance to team members supporting workface planning activities, contributing to performance development and knowledge sharing across the project team.

Qualifications / Skillset
A university degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience gained through progressive responsibility in construction planning or project delivery roles.

Extensive experience supporting construction and project execution within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors, preferably within large, complex, and multi-disciplinary project environments.

Strong understanding of construction planning principles, workface planning methodologies, and project management practices aligned with integrated engineering and construction delivery models.

Demonstrated ability to manage planning activities for small to moderately complex projects, making sound independent decisions with consideration for financial, environmental, social, and organizational impact.

Broad functional knowledge enabling effective participation in resolving complex technical or execution challenges using established systems, processes, and governance frameworks.

Strong communication skills with the ability to inform, influence, and align diverse stakeholders around shared objectives, including safety, sustainability, and schedule certainty.

Proven capability to work with a high degree of autonomy while engaging constructively with leadership for guidance on priorities and strategic alignment.

Strong proficiency with planning systems, digital tools, and field-based processes, with the ability to support others, troubleshoot issues, and promote consistent use of best practices.
