Essential Job Duties
Research Assistant needed to provide lab support including mouse colony management, husbandry/injections/tissue dissection, genotyping/ PCR, cell culture, tissue processing and immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and RNA isolation/RT-qPCR. Help to train and guide undergraduates, maintain lab organization, and assist with ordering and inventorying.

Other Work/Responsibilities
Minimum Experience/Education
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree, or relevant Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years of independent research experience, or substantive relevant independent experience and education. May require terminal degree and licensure.
Department Required Skills
Experience working with rodents- handling, husbandry/genotyping, intraperitoneal injections, etc. Possess technical and analytical skills in biomedical research, preferably molecular and cellular biology. Possess strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Be able to multitask and work independently with a high level of initiative. Have a track record of collaboration, productivity, and accomplishment in a team environment.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Experience working with and handling DNA, RNA, and protein samples preferred. Experience with cell culture preferred. Experience with microscopy preferred. Experience with flow cytometry preferred.
