The Maintenance Mechanic supports the operational success of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities by ensuring the efficient and effective operation of complex equipment and machinery. This role involves mechanical work, focusing on preventive maintenance, precision repairs, and the troubleshooting of specialized laboratory and facility systems.

  • Hydraulic & Pneumatic Equipment: Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and pneumatic controls to ensure optimal functionality.

  • Valve Maintenance: Replace and maintain relief valves, regulators, and other pressure-control components in compliance with safety standards.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions through visual observation and diagnostic testing to identify root causes of equipment failures.

  • Specialized Repairs: Lead and execute repairs for specialized equipment, such as manipulators in shielded cells and other mission-critical hardware.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Workkey Requirements: Applied Technology 4, Graphic Literacy 3, workplace observation 2 OR WIN : Work ready data3, math 2, reading 3

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field OR 4 years of equivalent professional maintenance experience.
