Position Summary:

The Event Planner is responsible for the strategy, design, planning, and flawless execution of customer-facing events and VIP experiences that directly impact sales engagement and customer satisfaction. From coordinating high-touch concierge visits to one of our CenterPoint locations, to managing enterprise-scale national sales events (1,000+ attendees), this role plays a critical part in driving brand affinity, sales enablement, and competitive advantage. Working independently with minimal supervision, this role owns the full event lifecycle-including accommodations, food & beverage, travel logistics, AV, itineraries, branded materials, and vendor management-while aligning event outcomes with budget expectations and attendee satisfaction goals. The Event Planner collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Strategic Markets, Marketing, and external vendors to deliver events that meet both business objectives and best-in-class experience standards. The Event Planner serves as a "team lead" within the team helping to train, mentor and assist other team members.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards to support the efficient operations of the department and company
  • Effectively communicates (reads, writes, and speaks) English
  • Lead planning and execution of assigned events including customer visits, regional shows, and national sales events. Own all logistics: venue, F&B, AV, housing, transportation, and run-of-show.
  • Coordinate high-touch CenterPoint experiences for VIP clients, ensuring seamless hospitality across hotel, transportation, dining, and custom experiences.
  • Manage budgets and make informed decisions to maximize ROI, minimize cost overages, and ensure all events remain within scope. Track expenses and reconcile post-event billing.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts (hotels, AV, venues, transportation, production). Conduct site visits and RFP (request for proposal) evaluations.
  • Partner with internal teams (Sales, Strategic Markets, Marketing) to align on goals, develop event materials (invitations, programs, mobile app, surveys), and ensure brand consistency.
  • Manage and build events using Cvent, including event registration, mobile app configuration, attendee communications, surveys, and reporting. Serve as the internal subject matter expert for all Cvent-based event technology.
  • Support data capture and insights through post-event surveys and KPI dashboards. Report on attendee engagement, satisfaction scores, and budget adherence.
  • Monitor and manage timelines across multiple events. Escalate conflicts, delays, or capacity issues proactively.
  • Contribute to process improvement by building and refining SOPs, templates, vendor scorecards, and planning tools.
  • Ensure all events meet regulatory and risk guidelines, including legal and insurance compliance.


Do YOU Meet These Requirements?



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent education experience

  • 4-6 years in Event Planning and/or Hospitality



  • Project management experience a plus



  • CVENT experience, preferred


  • Certified Meeting Professional designation, preferred


This role requires up to 30% travel. Evening and weekend availability required.
