• Hourly Rate - $28.00 per hour plus $5.55 per hour, up to 40 hours for Health and Welfare
• Per Diem - Daily per diem provided for meals and incidentals ($68.00)
• Lodging - Hotel lodging is provided during the field assignment.
• DAWSON Vehicle: As part of your employment package, you will be eligible to use a company vehicle for business purposes.
• Location - Yuma, AZ - (Yuma Sector, Project Located along the US/Mexico border east of the Colorado River in Yuma, Arizona)

We are seeking experienced several Field Technicians to support a large-scale restoration project in Yuma, AZ. This position is hands-on and physically demanding, requiring experience with vegetation collection, planting, and restoration field work. Field Technicians will assist with daily field operations, including collecting and planting native riparian and upland vegetation, site preparation, and irrigation support. Work will include transporting equipment and materials, operating power hand augers, and supporting restoration efforts involving over 20,000 plants. Field Technicians will work under the direction of a Crew Chief or Project Manager to ensure tasks are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily field activities including vegetation collection, planting, site preparation, watering, weeding, and general restoration maintenance
• Support the operation of irrigation pumps used to flood restoration cells
• Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and plant materials
• Assist with operating power hand augers and other field equipment
• Follow all safety protocols
• Communicate field conditions and progress to crew leadership
• Actively participate in physical field work

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors in Biology or related field, or demonstration of working towards a degree.
• Previous hands-on botanical, habitat restoration or related field experience
• Strong familiarity with desert vegetation and environmental conditions
• Previous hands-on experience in landscaping, agriculture, or related outdoor work.
• Good positive attitude, friendly and fun. Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and attention to safety.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to perform physical labor
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
