This position manages and leads a team of professionals in support of enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Responsibilities include: corporate strategic planning, analysis, process/project management development, system support, creating and implementing the most effective short and long term sourcing strategies, and managing complex negotiations with third parties.
  • Responsible for creating long and short term strategies that align with corporate goals and produce the most cost effective solutions.
  • Responsible for the development of professionals while creating an innovative and effective organization in support of Company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics or other quantitative discipline.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years professional business experience in analytical/quantitative sourcing activities across multiple complex categories, including program or project management roles. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements. Proven leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Outstanding human relations, negotiating and communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership. Excellent analytical, process/project management skills. Ability to innovate and produce high quality results and sourcing solutions across multiple categories on a consistent basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to coach, guide, & mentor team to develop category/sourcing strategies, implement execution plans, develop new approaches to benchmarking, & partner with stakeholders to deliver value across FedEx facilities & security spend areas
  • MBA, CSCP, or CPSM considered a plus
  • High emotional intelligence, analytical, interpersonal, & communication skills
  • Financial acumen & Total Cost of Ownership understanding
  • Ability to synthesize info from disparate sources
  • Uses deep knowledge of the global facilities and security supplier markets / industries to deliver value and find opportunities for FedEx.
  • Partners with colleagues and executives to manage RFIs and RFPs and analyze supplier responses for Global Facilities and Security
  • Provides category management expertise, sourcing best practices, leverages industry knowledge about Global Facilities and Security market analysis to identify and deliver on savings/improvement opportunities for FedEx.
  • Ability to quickly develop industry knowledge and expertise of the Global Facilities and Security industries
  • Develops new approaches to benchmarking, synthesizing information from disparate sources (internal and external).
  • Challenges traditional ways of working throughout the process.
  • Identifies potential cost-savings opportunities using Total Cost of Ownership approach.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of Total Cost of Ownership
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification would be a plus.
  • Professional exempt experience in category management or contract/supplier management

Pay: MEM ($8,452.14/mo - $14,368.63/mo) , Plano ($8,896.99/mo - $15,124.88/mo), PGH ($8,896.99/mo - $15,124.88/mo).

Additional Details: This hybrid position will be domiciled in Memphis,TN , Pittsburgh,PA or Plano,TX reporting to MD Quincy McGlown. Posting will close Friday February 20, 2026. Compensation Grade: FEC_E28. Relocation assistance may be provided based on business needs.
