Key Position Details:

  • 8-hour day shift (8a-5p with flexibility on these hours, within reason)

Job Description:

Supports business operations by managing and optimizing data assets, business systems, and analytics platforms. Leads the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both new and existing information systems. Accountable for designing, implementing, and supporting technical solutions. Ensures business continuity, enables organizational growth, and fosters innovation through advanced analytics, integrated data management, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. Defines system scope and objectives by conducting research and analysis to develop or enhance moderately complex information systems.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling, Design, and Development
    • Communicate with operations leaders to determine specific business requirements for reports and business intelligence solutions.
    • Leads the definition of reporting requirements by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and translating data needs to scalable BI solutions.
    • Designs data models that integrate financial and operational data.
    • Advises leadership on data modeling best practices and governance.
  • Data Analysis, Reporting, and Visualization
    • Designs executive-level BI tools that track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support high-impact decisions.
    • Guides visualization standards and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Explores and implements advanced visualization techniques to enhance insight delivery and user engagement.
    • Designs BI tools that assist with the analysis of complex data models to forecast outcomes, including trending application and financial data.
    • Enforces standards for data validation and reconciliation to maintain trust in BI tools.
  • Performance Optimization & Support
    • Ensures database integrity, security and optimized performance at the application and database level
    • Leads optimization of BI infrastructure and enforce standards for efficient data retrieval.
    • Evaluates and redesigns existing reporting tools to ensure consistency, efficiency, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Provides information system support and troubleshooting. May require on-call support outside regular business hours.
  • Design, development, implement, and support of existing and new technical solutions.
    • Maintains documentation and manages scheduled tasks and failures.
    • Ability to update and maintain existing programs and applications.
    • Analyzes requirements and develops technical and/or automated solutions that meet the business requirements and technical functional specifications.
    • Consults with business analysts and other team members in estimating and sizing technology projects.
    • Consults with technical, functional, and vendor resources to maintain the appropriate application environment(s). Works with software vendors in the diagnosis of and application problems of vendor software programs.
    • Installs, configures, tests, supports and monitors information systems to meet requirements and technical specifications.
    • Meets with and discuss system requirements with business owners to translate into functional requirements.
    • Configures and support existing programs and software.
    • Develops, documents, and maintains procedures and data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
  • 5+ years experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, and ETL development, including SQL, SSIS/SSRS, relational databases, and data modeling/design
  • 5+ years experience in software or solution development, including object oriented programming, .NET/Java/C#, version control, and automation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience with modern BI and visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView, and experience designing or implementing data warehouse solutions
  • 3+ years experience with emerging technologies, including AI/advanced analytics, and developing policies for data security, governance, and compliance

Pay Range

Pay Range: $48.29 to $66.81 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
