Flexible work arrangements are available for this position, including the ability to work remotely within the United States. We would prefer a candidate located in the greater Austin area to be on campus for critical project meetings and client engagement opportunities.

This position provides life/work balance with typically a 40-hour work week and travel limited to training (e.g., conferences/courses).

This position requires you to maintain internet service and a mobile phone with voice and data plans to be used when required for work.

Purpose

In this transformative role, you will engage Enterprise Technology divisions, university partners, and other critical stakeholders to build deeply collaborative relationships across campus. As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with campus partners to surface business needs, support College, Schools, and Units (CSUs) through enterprise scaled technology transformation, identify opportunities to leverage technology to meet objectives, and champion innovative solutions that inform future technology roadmaps and reflect university priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborates with campus stakeholders to understand organizational strategy and identify value. Maintains alignment of expectations across all stakeholder groups.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivates a high-trust network of Enterprise Technology divisions contacts and campus partners. Engages with business units and functional areas to understand strategic goals and ensure IT initiatives are driven by partner-focused business value.
  • Demand Shaping: Collaborates with Enterprise Technology service owners and leadership to implement strategic technology needs and solutions that align with business needs of the campus community.
  • Engagement & Advocacy: Leverages relationship networks to capture and advocate for technology needs that enhance university objectives. Manages systems and Enterprise Technology practices to elevate awareness of campus needs and priorities amongst service owners and leadership. Prioritizes an engagement approach that ensures all stakeholders are informed regarding identified needs, priorities, and next steps.
  • Project Engagement and Change Management: Facilitation of change management, adoption, meeting and workgroup coordination, and other relationship building opportunities for successful outcomes.
  • Perform other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and three to five years' experience in business relationship management, customer advocacy, and/or client services role within a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to clarity and professionalism.
  • Highly curious with a desire to learn new technologies and relevant subject matter.
  • Proven ability to build rapport, establish professional credibility, and adapt communication styles to engage diverse audiences effectively.
  • Skilled in setting expectations, driving alignment, and reaching agreement across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Skilled at analyzing data and synthesizing findings into clear, value-based recommendations that drive informed decision-making.
  • Relationship focused approach to managing diverse stakeholder interests to effectively navigate competing interests and drive shared outcomes.
  • Adaptive and resilient to shifting environments and priorities; successful in navigating ambiguity.
  • Utilize systems-level thinking to align daily work with long-range goals.
  • Experience in navigating integrated digital workplaces including Microsoft 365, cloud-based Financial/HR platforms, and advanced Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience with UT's financial and academic systems.
  • Experience working with students and faculty populations on technology adoption and transformations.
  • Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) Certification.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of enterprise IT systems and organizational strategy alignment.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, MS Dynamics, ServiceNow, AI, and Workday.
  • Experience with facilities/asset management platforms and UT specific applications.

Salary Range

$75,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm; May require occasional overtime nights and/or weekends
