Lead Psychiatry Administrative Assistant (Bilingual - Spanish)

We are partnering with a valued client with whom we have worked successfully for several years to identify an experienced Lead Psychiatry Administrative Assistant to support a fast-paced Psychiatry department.

Position Overview

This role requires a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a busy medical office environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting high-volume providers, managing complex schedules, and interacting directly with patients. Bilingual fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is required.

Schedule (Hybrid)
  • Monday & Tuesday (Remote): 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

  • Wednesday - Friday (Onsite): 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation
  • $50,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on experience

  • Excellent benefits package including health benefits and generous vacation time

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Psychiatry department

  • Manage provider schedules for high-volume clinicians

  • Serve as primary telephone/front desk support and provide backup reception coverage as needed

  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and supervisors to respond to inquiries and help resolve concerns

  • Provide limited Spanish interpretation support when needed

  • Check patients in and out

  • Coordinate and track psychiatry records requests

  • Schedule initial and annual psychiatric evaluations

  • Complete accurate EMR data entry

  • Support special projects as assigned

  • Take meeting minutes on a rotating basis

Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish (verbal and written) - required

  • Experience working in a fast-paced medical office environment

  • Strong patient-facing/customer service experience

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proactive problem-solving abilities

  • Strong communication skills

  • Sound judgment and professionalism

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
