What this job involves:

As a Shipping and Receiving Technician, you'll serve as a vital link in our facility's logistics operations, ensuring the accurate and timely handling of all incoming and outgoing materials and packages. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols while working with various materials that may include chemical and biological agents. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating deliveries, and supporting multiple departments with their shipping and receiving needs. This role offers the opportunity to work in a regulated environment where precision and compliance are essential to operational success.

What your day-to-day will look like:

* Handle pallets and packages while maintaining accurate inventory records and documentation for all shipments and deliveries

* Package and weigh items, print shipping labels and postage, and inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies

* Process and distribute products to various departments throughout the facility in a timely and organized manner

* Manage mail operations including handling pouch mail, processing certified mail, and executing hand deliveries of accountable mail to customers

* Maintain and restock coffee machines and supplies, including cleaning bean-to-cup machines and managing coffee supply inventory

* Conduct weekly paper deliveries to approximately 10 copy/mailrooms and handle customer phone calls and inquiries

* Operate tracking systems for mail processing and ensure proper documentation of all mail and package transactions

Required Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent education

* Valid driver's license with ability to complete appropriate vehicle training as required

* Demonstrated ability to lift, bend, and move safely while performing job functions for extended periods

* Experience with shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations with minimal supervision required

* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

* Physical capability to stand and walk for long periods while handling packages and materials

* Willingness to work with chemical and biological agents following all safety procedures and using provided personal protective equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in regulated or pharmaceutical environments

* Familiarity with tracking systems and inventory management software

* Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping

* Customer service experience for handling phone calls and inquiries

* Knowledge of mail processing procedures and postal regulations

* Previous experience with material handling equipment and warehouse operations

Location: Onsite
Work Shift:Monday to Friday (6:30am to 3:00pm)

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

33,176.00 - 33,176.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
