Research Analyst FCM-FamMed-Core-CSDH Full Time 87928BR Job Summary The Research Analyst II will provide survey development, statistical analysis, and other research and administrative support to the research team of the Maternal Infant Health Assessment (MIHA), an annual population-based survey of people with a recent live birth funded by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Maternal Child Adolescent Health Division (MCAH). This position involves supporting the annual development, testing, and finalization of MIHA survey instruments and other study documents. It requires critically reviewing and summarizing a wide range of published literature, policy recommendations, and other documents related to maternal and child health. The candidate will support day-to-day operations of MIHA as needed (e.g., helping lead parts of team meetings, utilizing project management software, tracking deliverables, maintaining websites). Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the technical aspects of survey design, data collection, and data set production, as needed. With support of higher-level analysts, the candidate will conduct SAS statistical analyses of MIHA data focusing on maternal characteristics, health services utilization, maternal and infant health outcomes, and racial and social inequities and summarize results from analyses into data tables, graphs, figures, and presentations. They will support production of issue briefs, written reports, and manuscripts. With supervision from the Project Director and input from the Principal Investigator and Data Manager, the Research Analyst will help implement social media strategies to disseminate MIHA data and modify the Center for Health Equity's website as needed. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $34.48 - $74.04 (Hourly Rate).
