Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • Obtained and maintained the certification as a CPS through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
  • Has a high school diploma or general equivalency
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable vehicle.
  • This position requires travel to homes and other community locations to provide services and support clients. Mileage reimbursement provided.


Preferred qualifications:



  • Basic computer skills and experience with an Electronic Health Record system.
  • Knowledge of local resources in Montgomery County.
  • Experience working in a Behavioral Health or Community Based setting.

We are excited to welcome a Certified Peer Specialist to our community-based team in Colmar, PA (Montgomery County).

This is more than a job-it's a calling. As a peer specialist, you'll use your lived experience, your resilience, and your compassion to walk alongside individuals on their mental health recovery journey


The Certified Peer Specialist will:



  • Empower individuals to direct their own recovery and build essential recovery skills.
  • Educate participants on available service options and connect them to community resources.
  • Coordinate and document progress, including completion of Individualized Recovery Plans, in accordance with agency and state standards.
  • Re-engage individuals who have discontinued services, including outreach and satisfaction followups.
  • Facilitate WRAP groups and participate in monthly CPS technical assistance meetings.
  • Maintain Peer Certification through required ongoing training.
  • Support individuals with mental illness in obtaining and sustaining competitive employment.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.


Earn $19.77 per hour.
