Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Director, Talent Acquisition The Director, Talent Acquisition leads the design, execution, and continuous evolution of the company's talent acquisition strategy. This role serves as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to hiring managers, HR business partners and senior leaders while also remaining deeply connected to day-to-day execution and delivery of the talent acquisition team. The Director will build, scale, and lead a high-performing Talent Acquisition team to support the company's hiring needs and ensure that Arcwood attracts, engages, and hires top talent across all functions -including CDL drivers, plant and field technicians, engineers, sales professionals, and corporate roles.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and an operational executor-someone who sets direction and executes the Talent Acquisition vision while also actively engaging in the work. This leader is comfortable recruiting, interviewing, configuring ATS platforms, building analytics and reporting, and presenting insights directly to executive leadership.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Leads the development and execution of enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategies aligned to business growth, workforce planning, and operational needs
  • Drives Talent Acquisition process redesign and continuous improvement in parallel with ATS implementation, ensuring operational efficiency, adoption, and scalability
  • Serves as an advisor and thought partner to hiring managers, HR business partners, and leaders on workforce strategy, market dynamics, and hiring solutions
  • Partners with business leaders to anticipate workforce demands, forecast hiring needs, and align recruiting strategies with business objectives
  • Leads hiring efforts across Corporate and Field operations, including skilled trades, licensed professionals, technical roles, and business support functions
  • Develops role-specific sourcing strategies based on job requirements, labor market conditions, candidate availability, and competitive dynamics
  • Selects and optimizes the appropriate sourcing channels and platforms (job boards, niche platforms, digital channels, partnerships, direct sourcing, etc.) based on target candidate profiles
  • Builds scalable, sustainable talent pipelines for critical, high-volume, and hard-to-fill roles
  • Leads and develops the Talent Acquisition team, setting clear performance expectations, accountability, and professional development opportunities
  • Drives operational excellence across Talent Acquisition processes, balancing structure, speed, quality, and candidate experience
  • Oversees recruiting systems and technology, including ATS (iCIMS), and CRM platforms, ensuring effective adoption, integration, and optimization
  • Establishes strong Talent Acquisition reporting, analytics, and insights, using data to drive decision-making, workforce planning, and continuous improvement
  • Leverages recruiting metrics and market intelligence to inform strategy, prioritize resources, and optimize sourcing investments
  • Strengthens employer brand positioning to support attraction, engagement, and long-term talent sustainability
  • Builds and manages partnerships with recruiting agencies, sourcing tools and CRM platforms ensuring ROI and performance accountability
  • Designs and delivers hiring manager enablement and interviewer training programs to improve hiring quality, speed, and consistency
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and ethical hiring standards while promoting inclusive hiring practices
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational objectives


Education

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field (required)
- Master's degree or professional certification e.g. SHRM-SCP, SPHR (preferred)


Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing Corporate and Field recruitment (required)
  • Demonstrated success in workforce planning, recruitment strategy, and talent operations in a complex, multi-site environment (required)
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting ATS/CRM implementations and integrations, including process redesign and change management (required)
  • Demonstrated success leading Talent Acquisition teams in complex, multi-site, growth-oriented environments (required)
  • Experience hiring across skilled trades, licensed roles (e.g., CDL drivers), technical professionals, engineers, sales and operational staff (required)
  • Strong experience in Talent Acquisition reporting, analytics, workforce planning, and data-driven decision-making (required)
  • Experience developing market-driven sourcing strategies aligned to role complexity, candidate availability, and competitive labor markets (required)
