Program Overview

The Alfred Williams & Company Design Immersion Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial design and workplace solutions. This paid part-time internship is designed for individuals passionate about design, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to real-world projects.This internship provides a robust platform for aspiring designers to develop professionally while contributing to meaningful projects. Learning Objectives

• Understanding the history of commercial design and workplace evolution.
• Familiarity with AWC's mission, values, and commercial furniture specifications.
• Acquiring knowledge of interior design best practices and creative solution development.
• Gaining insights into professional firm practices and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in creative solution development and product specification.
• Assist with acquiring samples, finishes, and rough budgeting.
• Contribute to test-fits, space plans, pre-proposal meetings, and presentations.
• Create renderings, visuals, and presentation materials.
• Shadow installation days and participate in site visits before, during, and after project completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and project management.

• Enrollment in an accredited interior design program or equivalent education.
• Strong design and creative capabilities with a passion for applying the design process.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Cover letter and portfolio are required for consideration in this program.
