Estimated hourly base pay:

  • Level 2 - $21.15(minimum) - $27.40(midpoint) - $33.65(maximum) Plus overtime

  • Level 3 - $24.04 (minimum) - $31.25 (midpoint)- $38.46 (maximum) Plus overtime

We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientedControl Panel Test Technicianto join our team. This role focuses on troubleshooting, setting up, and testing complete control systems and kits for military, marine, and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical aptitude, experience with control systems, and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment. The position requires working with live electricity, typically low voltage (24VDC) and 120VAC, making attention to safety and detail critical. Familiarity with testing tools such as Fluke meters, power supplies, process meters, and similar equipment

Key Responsibilities:

Level 2

  • Electrical Assembly: assembles and wires electrical components and products based on technical schematics and customer requirements; supports training of other members, and provides improvement opportunities to standard work.

  • Electrical Process Capability: understands electrical industry standards (i.e. IPC) and customer specifications; combines data from detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to complete assembly tasks with precision.

  • Quality Control: Participates to improve clarity and accuracy in documented processes and procedures.

  • Organization & Cleanliness: Proactively applies 5S principles, identifies opportunities to improve workstation organization and cleanliness, and ensures compliance with team standards. Assists in implementing new organizational practices as directed.

  • Safety Mindset: Encourages adherence to safety protocols within the team.

Level 3

  • Electrical Assembly: assembles and wires electrical components and products based on technical schematics and customer requirements, supports training of other members, leads complex or specialized assembly tasks, troubleshoots challenges, and ensures adherence to production standards.

  • Electrical Process Capability: understands electrical industry standards (i.e. IPC) and customer specifications; combines data from detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to complete assembly tasks with precision.

  • Quality Control: Champions clarity and accuracy in documented processes and procedures, and collaborates with cross-functional teams.

  • Organization & Cleanliness: Champions 5S principles, develops and refines 5S practices, and ensures consistent adherence to standards across the team or department. Collaborates with front line leadership to integrate 5S principles into broader operational processes.

  • Safety Mindset: Serves as a safety champion by fostering a culture of accountability within the team. Partners to align safety initiatives with organizational goals.

Other Qualifications:

  • Troubleshooting & Testing:Set up, test, and troubleshoot complete control systems and electrical kits to ensure functionality and adherence to customer specifications. Work with live electrical systems, including 24VDC and 120VAC, while maintaining strict safety protocols.
  • Signal Testing and Calibration:Test and calibrate analog and digital signals, such as 4-20mA loops, voltage ranges, and resistance measurements. Validate sensor inputs and outputs for accurate system performance.
  • Documentation Skills:Read and interpret technical documentation, such as wiring diagrams, TSPs, I/O lists, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Accurately document findings, test results, and process improvements.

  • Network and Communication Protocols:Test and verify communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, or Profibus to ensure proper system integration. Perform basic network troubleshooting as needed.

  • Environmental Testing Knowledge:Test control panel components for environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity, or vibration) to ensure they meet military and marine standards.

  • Power Supply and Load Testing:Test power supplies and verify that control systems can handle required power demands under load conditions. Ensure proper functionality of circuit protection devices, such as fuses and breakers.
