Role Overview
MORI Associates is seeking an exceptional Fluids Analyst/Engineer to work remotely supporting cuttingedge spacecraft development efforts, with a focus on cryogenic propellant systems. In this role, you'll join a crossfunctional team working to advance inspace cryogenic fluid management, guiding mission design, hardware configuration, and system performance for nextgeneration spacecraft.
This is an opportunity to directly influence the trajectory of aerospace innovation and contribute to technologies that will change how humanity explores the solar system. Key Responsibilities
  • Generate, run, and refine thermofluids models of cryogenic propellant systems including Reaction Control Systems, cryogenic fluids and Helium systems used in spacecraft.
  • Provide engineering guidance on hardware configuration, mission concept of operations (ConOps), and control logic optimization.
  • Quantitatively evaluate design alternatives, perform trade studies, and present datadriven recommendations to engineering leadership.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance the stateoftheart in inspace cryogenic fluid management technologies.
Required Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of handson experience in thermalfluids analysis and mechanical component design.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Thermal Desktop.
  • Strong capability in firstorder hand calculations and Excelbased fluids analysis.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced engineering degree (M.S. or Ph.D.).
  • CFD experience, especially with ANSYS Fluent or FLOW3D.
  • Background in analyzing cryogenic, twophase liquid systems.
  • Experience providing actionable feedback for design iteration and optimization cycles.
  • Process automation/scripting capability (e.g., VBA, MATLAB, Python, FORTRAN).
