Responsibilities

As a Weld Technician you will monitors production processes, perform welding quality checks, and maintain documentation to support welding work.

Job Responsibilities

1. Troubleshoots welding processes, tooling, and equipment and suggests corrective actions to resolve.

2. Notifies production leaders of any process improvements being addressed and if workflow deviation is necessary.

3. Completes process checks on the manufacturing floor to verify weld compliance and capability.

4. Maintains welding process documents. Ensures each workstation has the necessary and accurate documentation.

5. Runs capability studies and documents appropriately.

6. Trains manufacturing personnel on process changes or updates.

7. Assists in launches by following sample parts and new jobs through production. Ensures each new part is placed in quarantine and inspected appropriately.

8. Analyzes scrap and rework and suggests corrective action.

9. Assists weld operators and welders.



Qualifications

Educational Requirements

* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.

* AWS Certified Weld Inspector credential preferred.

Experience Requirements

* Three years professional welding experience in the manufacturing industry.

* Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
