Responsibilities As a Weld Engineer you will be responsible for implementing and improving welding processes and systems within the manufacturing environment. Ensures the quality and efficiency of welding operations, collaborates with cross-functional teams to solve welding-related issues, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. Job Responsibilities 1. Develops and implements welding processes to ensure efficient and high-quality production. 2. Maintains welding quality standards and procedures. 3. Conducts inspections and tests to ensure weld quality and compliance with industry standards and specifications. 4. Analyzes welding defects and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 5. Provides technical support and guidance to production teams and welding operators. 6. Reviews and analyzes customer part prints, specifications, and other documentation to develop production quotations covering the welding of product. This will include production rates, set-up time, and tooling requirements. 7. Works with the Process Engineers to review and maintain production welding set-up specs. 8. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in welding operations, makes recommendations to leadership. 9. Develops and maintains documentation related to welding procedures, specifications, and standards. 10. Ensures all welding operations comply with safety regulations and company policies. 11. Participates in safety audits and risk assessments related to welding activities. Qualifications Educational Requirements * High school diploma or HSED; with 2 years of technical college with an area of concentration in welding, Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welder to AWS standards preferred Experience Requirements * Three years of experience in weld engineering or relevant field.
