Cloud Training Specialist Senior

This role is expected to run 12-18 months and is eligible for a potential extension or transition into a direct hire role depending on existing work and high performance.

Job Summary

Analyzes customer training needs and develops and organizes the training strategy. Understands workflows to develop audience-specific training infrastructure (including traditional and computer-based curriculum materials); organizes the registration and certification processes; and conducts classroom and one-on-one training. Works closely with project leadership and key customers to ensure that the training program is appropriately structured to satisfy a broad range of training audience requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Work with the Digital Service CLOUD program team to develop, execute, and maintain training strategies, pathways, and organizational change management materials.
  • Develop experience roadmap to help team members understand the training they should take in a meaningful order as applications migrate from on-premises servers to the cloud.
  • Assess current workforce skills, identify gaps, and determine next steps (update materials, develop talent strategy).
  • Define topics for AWS to provide training on; arrange training sessions including vendor outreach, promoting the events, arrange registration in Workday Learning, room logistics, etc.
  • Work with leaders to define the next set of learner personas to define who will need training & communications.
  • Plan regular meetings (monthly, quarterly) to assess progress and adjust learning plans as needed.
  • Monitor training completion, certification rates, and skill progression.
  • Inform leadership and make action plans to address gaps.
  • Create upskilling plan to ensure leaders are equipped with foundational cloud knowledge to champion adoption and prepare them to support team member development.
  • Provide targeted orientation sessions (virtual & recorded) for each of the training waves.
  • Organize labs, guided projects, and peer learning sessions to build and sustain critical skills.
  • Track learner progress, engagement, and understanding; refine training programs based on feedback.
  • Introduce optional courses and advanced tracks as learners progress.
  • Encourage participation in office hours, mentoring, and learning circles.
  • Assumes ownership of the Cloud Learning Center SharePoint site, including periodic review and update of site content to reflect current state, new learning opportunities, and support ongoing learning.
  • Create a sustainability plan to ensure new team members receive the training and support they need.
  • Periodically review and update course content to reflect new technologies and feedback.
  • Collect feedback and proficiency ratings to inform future training.
  • Collaborate with tech and DS teams to keep pathways current, track KPIs, and manage training administration.
Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience working with cloud, on-prem, and/or platform IT services
  • Experience analyzing customer training needs, developing and organizing the training service, and providing training
  • Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation
