Position Summary

The Sales Programs & Incentives Specialist administers commercial sales programs (e.g., Elite and other partner or rewards programs) and supports the accurate execution of sales incentive and compensation plans. This role ensures programs and incentives run smoothly, data and payouts are accurate, and the field has clear information about how programs work. This role focuses on accurate, timely processing and clear communication so leadership can concentrate on compensation design, budgeting, and profitability metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Compensation Support

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly commission, bonus, and spiff calculations using approved plans, rate tables, and data sources.
  • Maintain organized files and backup documentation for all incentive calculations and payouts to support review and audit needs.
  • Create and distribute standard incentive reports (e.g., attainment vs. quota, payout summaries, exception logs) to Sales Operations and Finance.
  • Respond to routine compensation questions from the field and route complex issues to the Senior Sales Analyst or Finance as appropriate.

Partner Programs Coordination (Elite and similar programs)

  • Update and maintain tracking files for key partner programs (e.g., Elite Partnership Program and similar future programs), including participant status, sales performance, incentives earned, and qualification details.
  • Coordinate contract management tasks for these programs, including preparing and sending extensions or renewal documents, tracking effective and expiration dates, and maintaining an organized repository of executed agreements.
  • Notify appropriate internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Finance, Customer Service, Marketing, Contracts) when new participants are added, when participants are removed, or when key contract terms change, ensuring systems and lists are updated accordingly.
  • Produce quarterly and ondemand reporting for these programs (program activity, growth, engagement, and margin metrics) for sales leadership, account teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare comparison data and simple "whatif" scenarios to evaluate potential changes to existing programs or the design of new programs (e.g., alternative tiers, thresholds, or incentive rates) using historical performance and current trends.
  • Assist with list pulls, data cleanup, and basic analyses to support partner program campaigns, communications, and reviews.
  • Coordinate updates to partner program documentation and shared resources so field teams have current, consistent information.

Government & Compliance Reporting

  • Prepare recurring reports required under state agency contracts, including sales, pricing, and program utilization summaries, following established templates and timelines.
  • Compile and submit internal data for diverse supplier and related reporting, coordinating with Sales Operations, Contracts, and Finance for validation and approvals.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready files for all submitted reports and supporting documentation, ensuring consistency with contract requirements and internal policies.

Sales Support Inbox & General Sales Operations

  • Monitor the Sales Support Inbox, triage incoming requests, and ensure timely routing or response according to established guidelines.
  • Resolve standard, repeatable requests using existing templates, FAQs, and playbooks, escalating issues when needed.
  • Track request types and volume to highlight trends and opportunities to streamline processes or create self-service resources.
  • Provide administrative and reporting support for other sales operations initiatives as assigned (dashboards, lists, basic data pulls).

Collaboration and Process Improvement

  • Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, and HR to follow established timelines and procedures for incentive processing.
  • Help test and validate data or basic calculation changes when compensation plans, territories, or programs are updated.
  • Recommend practical improvements to templates, trackers, and workflows that improve accuracy, speed, or clarity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Approximately 1-3 years of experience in sales support, sales operations, finance, or similar administrative/analyst roles.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel (lookups, pivot tables, basic formulas) and comfort working with multiple data sources required; experience with CRM/ERP systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through with the ability to manage recurring deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a service-oriented mindset when working with sales and cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive compensation, contract, and financial information.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Sales Operations Manager/Director.
  • Works closely with: Field Sales, Sales Operations, HR, Finance Teams.
  • This is a Salaried Exempt position in Sales Operations
  • Calhoun, Georgia based
