Job Description

Omni Los Angeles is seeking an HR Intern to join our outstanding Associate Services team! This vital role will work closely with the Associate Services team to execute all operations relating to the associate services department. This is a unique hands on training opportunity for someone to learn various aspects of the hotel business. Omni Care Interns are provided a summer internship opportunity that may result in acceptance into our LID (Leader in Development) program based upon performance & program availability.

We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who love contributing to a winning team. If you are pursuing a degree in hospitality or human resources, we would love to speak with you about this role.



Responsibilities

    Provides comfortable and hospitable reception to all associates upon entrance to the ASC offices
  • Organize and file associate related documents
  • Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
  • Support in all the recruiting activities and in building candidate relationship in the community
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives
  • Prepares memos and other correspondence, including employment verifications, in a timely manner
  • Provides administrative and technical support to the HR team
  • Flexible in working various entry level service positions within the property


Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and spoken English is required
  • Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office and Windows is required
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment, effectively and accurately completing delegated tasks and assignments is required
  • Willingness to learn and take on different projects
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Must be willing and able to work 24 hours per week
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, handle employee matters effectively and employee inquiries with sensitivity
  • Current student pursuing Business Administration, Human Resources, or Hospitality
  • Bilingual Spanish Preferred

*Pay: $26.00/hour The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate's qualifications and/or experience
