Position Title: HR Generalist / Accounting Specialist

Wage: Based on Experience

We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist/Accounting Specialist to oversee human resources activities and assist with accounting operations for our client, a 40-employee company on the east side of Green Bay.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, likes variety in their work, is knowledgeable in basic accounting and employment laws, and able to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and confidentiality. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded professional who enjoys both financial operations and people management in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time, direct hire, fully onsite role that offers a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits package and reports to the President.

HR Generalist / Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

- Manage full cycle recruitment process

- Conduct new hire orientation and keep current the employee handbook

- Administer employee benefits

- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll

- Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices

- Manage employee relations matters oversee employee recognition programs

- Maintain job descriptions and employee policies and procedures

- Organize and maintain accurate employee files

- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

- Enter and reconcile vendor invoices, match invoices to inventory, and process payments

- Process customer payments and credits

- Reconcile vendor statements and research/respond to customer and vendor inquiries

- Process general ledger and bank transaction entries

- Assist Sr. Accountant with month-end close procedures

Requirements for HR Generalist / Accounting Specialist:

- 5+ years of work experience with human resources duties. AP and AR experience preferred.

- Associate or Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field a plus

- Knowledge of accounting principles and employment laws

- Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and tact

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
