Position Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Wage: Based on Experience Location: Platteville, WI The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the maintenance team to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role oversees preventive maintenance programs, equipment troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime and operational performance. Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities: - Lead, coach and supervise maintenance technicians, including scheduling, training, performance management and employee development - Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations - Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime - Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical equipment issues - Partner with operations and other departments to improve equipment reliability and efficiency - Communicate maintenance activities, priorities, and project updates to leadership - Manage maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities - Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory to ensure operational continuity - Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for equipment repairs and facility projects - Oversee facility and grounds maintenance as needed - Ensure accurate documentation of work orders, repairs and maintenance records - Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality and productivity - Stay current with industry best practices and emerging maintenance technologies Requirements for Maintenance Supervisor: - High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or certifications preferred - 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience - 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills - Experience managing projects and maintenance budgets - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals - Proficient in basic computer systems and maintenance tracking software - Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or holidays if needed | |
