Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Project Engineer to join our team for a New Construction Job Site. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow in the construction field while assisting the project team in overseeing the daily operations of the construction site. This position will provide hands-on experience in managing site activities, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and contributing to the successful delivery of the construction project. The Entry-Level Project Engineer will play an essential role in supporting the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards and regulations. Responsibilities Project Documentation and Support: Assist in maintaining and organizing project documentation, including plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders. Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date, easily accessible, and complies with company standards. Site Coordination and Monitoring: Assist in coordinating daily construction site activities and ensure that work is progressing according to the project schedule. Monitor work progress, verify the completion of tasks, and report any delays or issues to the Project Manager. Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members to ensure proper scheduling, quality, and safety standards. Identify and document any issues with the quality of work, and work with the project team to address and resolve them. Assist in the preparation of inspection reports and coordinate with relevant teams for follow-up actions. Project Scheduling and Coordination: Support the creation and updating of the project schedule, ensuring that construction milestones are met and that all required resources are available. Assist in coordinating logistics, including the delivery and tracking of materials and equipment to the job site. Help track progress and monitor adherence to the project timeline, reporting delays or issues to the Project Manager. Communication and Reporting: Facilitate communication between the field team, subcontractors, and office staff to ensure seamless operations on-site. Support the preparation of daily and weekly progress reports for the project team, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and upcoming tasks. Attend and document project meetings, providing updates and contributing to discussions on project issues and resolutions. Safety Compliance: Ensure that the construction site adheres to all safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA requirements. Assist in conducting safety inspections and maintaining a safe working environment for all team members. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is a plus. Basic understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards. Education Requirements High School Diploma Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 10-Hour Certification (or willingness to complete it upon hire).
