Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Project Safety Coordinator to join our team and support Egan's Solway Solar Project located near Bemidji, MN. In this role you'll play an integral role in Egan's safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety regulations and serving as a key partner to our Solway Solar project team. This is a project-based position with an expected duration of 7-10 months, with the potential for continuation based on business needs.


Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Project Safety Coordinator include but are not limited to the following:



  • Maintain a continuous, full-time presence at the assigned jobsite to proactively manage and support all operational safety requirements until project completion.
  • Align and implement Egan Company Health and Safety Programs and Loss Prevention initiatives at the assigned site.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Egan project team with respect to loss prevention goals, objectives, and key performance indicators.
  • Engage daily with field employees on the job site to assist and monitor safety in the execution of the work.
  • Develop field and trades personnel through coaching, feedback, and continuous training activities to assist in building the skills necessary to execute work safely.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with all State and Federal regulations applicable to the project site.
  • Create and deliver training opportunities to all levels of employees working on site.
  • Perform daily job site evaluations, determine employee exposures, and institute acceptable work practices.
  • Perform incident investigations, document and update the Egan project team and stakeholders.
  • Develop and foster relationships with project managers, superintendents, field leaders, and other partners on the project team.
  • Champion Egan's Mission, Vision, and Values; lead by example.


Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant construction safety experience or an equivalent combination of construction field experience and formal safety training (internship, college coursework, safety certifications, etc).
  • A degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the construction industry. Solar energy knowledge is preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to navigate and resolve conflict effectively.
  • Ability to be assigned to a long-term project located in:

    • Bemidji, MN (7-10 months) - start date April 2026
    • Work schedule will be Monday to Friday (50 hrs) and Saturday (8 hrs) - weather and/or schedule dependent.




Working Conditions

  • Performance of duties will be 100% on a solar project site.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Exposure to loud noise, dirt, and exposure to the elements.
  • Climbing ladders/stairs, uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and twisting are to be expected on job sites.

Salary Range: $75,000-$125,000 (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set), in addition to travel/relocation compensation package.
