Our Defense division in Salt Lake City, UT is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team! This Operations Supervisor is critical to ensuring that missionessential products are built to exacting standards, delivered on time, and compliant with all regulatory, safety, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep supervisory experience and thrives in leading skilled teams while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and flawless execution.

This is an on-site, collaborative role, operating on a 9/80 schedule! (M-Th 7am - 4pm and every other F from 7am - 3pm)

As our Operations Supervisor, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for:

• Provide handson leadership to include performance management, scheduling, training and professional development coordination

• Regularly meets with department leads and operators, consistently reviewing standard work and providing guidance

• Develop leadership bench strength for upcoming new programs and attrition

• Lead rootcause and correctiveaction efforts (RCCA) and promote a strong culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline

• Ensure materials flow to each work cell

• Drive continuous improvement

• Ensure longer term quality initiatives are run to completion

• Ensuring standard work is accurate/achievable

• Job Safety Analysis creation and annual review

• Work actively with Value Stream Managers and Lean leaders to support process improvements

• Attends Value Stream related meetings and flows to leads

To be considered for the Operations Supervisor role, you will need to bring with you:

• HS Diploma/GED is required

• 5+ years of manufacturing operations experience

• Direct industry experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel

• Strong working knowledge of assembly and test operations, complex mechanical/electrical builds, or precision manufacturing processes.

• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, engineering change orders (ECOs), and test procedures.

• Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, valuestream mapping, standard work, and waste reduction.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence in a highrigor environment.

Ideal if you also had:

• 3+ of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting; Demonstrated experience in managing skilled technicians, coaching and fostering a highperformance, accountable team culture.

• Working knowledge of TWI training

• Experience creating Job Breakdown Sheets

• Experience leading Kata and Kaizen
