Job Objective:
Diagnoses problems and performs necessary repairs on machinery and/or related mechanical equipment and helps maintain a safe work environment for the company.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and overhauls on various rotating equipment to include positive/centrifugal pumps, fin fans, reciprocating/rotary air compressors, combustion engines, and turbine engines.
- Proficient use of precision measurement tooling to include inside/outside caliper, dial caliper, travel indicators, and depth gauges.
- Perform both Dial indicator and laser alignment of shafts.
- Perform Mechanic seal installation, repairs, and failure cause analysis of both cartridge and component style seals. To include the various associated seal flush systems.
- Competent in crane and rigging inspections prior to use and for monthly inspection PM's.
- Work with operations team to plan repairs and shutdowns in ways that minimize production downtime.
- Assist in identifying and developing comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical equipment across the facility.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in the EAM system and maintenance logbook for all repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance data and lubrication oil reports to identify potential failures before they occur.
- Review and update equipment preventive maintenance plans and procedures in response to process or equipment changes to ensure continued reliability.
- Collaborate with vendors and material coordinators to order materials and maintain stock levels of critical spare parts.
- Work with operations during facility upsets and shutdowns to expedite returning the facility to a steady state operation.
- Follow all recognized safety and environmental policies and procedures of the North Slope ASH book and Hilcorp.

Qualifications:
- Two (2) years minimum of oil and gas mechanic experience.
- Must work a 12-hour rotating schedule which includes fourteen (14) days on and fourteen (14) days off.
- Needs minimal supervision or guidance to perform routine duties.
- Able to work effectively both independently and within a team to proactively achieve established goals.
- Self-starter with proven skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to prioritize when assigned multiple tasks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), EAM database, MOC Frontline
Education Requirements:
- Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
