Our work is mission-critical, supporting the U.S. Navy and strengthening national security. About Department 416 - COLUMBIA Class Fluid Systems Engineering Department 416 is responsible for submarine fluid systems including auxiliary and life support, habitability, seawater and drainage systems. These systems are essential in sustaining life underwater, performing submarine operations, and accomplishment of the ship's mission. Role Overview: Fluid systems engineers are involved from concept development to ship delivery, including execution of projects that support COLUMBIA Class design efforts, system improvements, and design changes. This role requires continued growth in technical and project management skills. Key Responsibilities Technical Responsibilities include:

Project Management Responsibilities include:
In addition to fluid system work, engineers in D416 are exposed to broader aspects of submarine design, construction, and operation - providing opportunities for continuous growth, leadership, and career progression. This may include rotation experiences supporting other departments to support business needs. Some travel may be necessary. Qualifications Required
