The Role

The Director, Clinical Operations provides leadership and practice management oversight for assigned clinics and services within Providence Medical Group (PMG) - Southwest Service Area. This role is accountable for developing highperforming patient care teams and implementing practice management processes that support costeffective, highquality daytoday operations.

Working in close partnership with Medical Directors and PMG leadership, the Director, Clinical Operations drives improvements in financial performance, quality outcomes, service excellence, and caregiver and provider engagement. The role supports established practices while leading the development of new services and participates in PMG special projects, committees, and task forces as assigned.

The Director, Clinical Operations partners with Medical Directors on matters impacting provider professional practice and performance, communicates effectively with PMG executives regarding operational and administrative matters, and consistently supports Providence's mission and core values through responsible and effective leadership.

What You'll Do



  • Operational Leadership & Practice Management
  • Provide overall direction and leadership for assigned PMG Southwest clinics to achieve operational, financial, and quality performance objectives.
  • Maintain oversight and accountability for practice management across assigned clinics and service programs.
  • Lead the implementation of operational and clinical programbased practices, including development of new clinics and services.
  • Financial & Resource Management
  • Develop annual goals and operating budgets for assigned clinics and programs.
  • Ensure clinics operate within budget guidelines and meet stated objectives in partnership with Clinic Managers and Medical Directors.
  • Analyze clinic operations to improve costeffectiveness and promote consistent adoption of best practices across PMG.
  • People Leadership & Development
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and develop Clinic Managers to support daily clinic operations.
  • Implement ongoing leadership development and training for Clinic Managers.
  • Assess provider and caregiver staffing needs and support recruitment efforts to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and professional growth.
  • Quality, Service & Reliability
  • Promote a qualityimprovement mindset and serviceexcellence culture across clinics and service programs.
  • Create environments that support patientcentered care and high reliability.
  • Participate in performanceimprovement initiatives that enhance quality of care and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure roleappropriate orientation and ongoing mission formation for all caregivers.
  • Physician & Stakeholder Partnership
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with Medical Directors and providers.
  • Communicate operational and administrative information effectively across providers, managers, hospital leaders, and staff.
  • Recommend and influence strategic and program modifications in anticipation of changes in the healthcare environment.
  • Governance, Policy & Compliance
  • Assist in the development and revision of PMG policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and organizational information.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings, leadership development, LEAN activities, and training programs.


What You'll Bring



  • Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or healthcarerelated field
  • Master's Degree in Health Administration, MBA, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience
  • 5+ years of physician practice management experience at a management level
  • Experience in a complex healthcare delivery environment, including clinic operations, finance, quality, and risk management
  • Multispecialty clinic experience (preferred)
  • Leadership & Operational Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, empower, and motivate teams in a rapidly changing healthcare environment
  • Strong planning, organizational, and financial management skills
  • Proven ability to monitor performance, hold teams accountable, and drive results
  • Independent judgment and effective decisionmaking capability
  • Excellent provider relationshipmanagement skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel between clinic and regional sites

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
