POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for supervising Housekeeping Services staff to ensure a high level of cleanliness of Harrison General Office, shop, service center and hangar facilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Select, develop, mentor, educate and lead a team of hourly full-time and part-time housekeeping employees across multiple shifts
  2. Develop and maintain schedules for all recurring tasks, including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning and stocking restroom and break room consumables
  3. Place orders and ensure receipt of needed cleaning supplies and other consumables
  4. Ensure employees have appropriate tools and skills to effectively carry out their duties
  5. Monitor equipment use and maintenance to ensure equipment is in safe, clean and proper working condition
  6. Develop work plans specific to floor maintenance programs, furniture cleaning and other special cleaning projects
  7. Lead safety education programs related to general office housekeeping methods and procedures
  8. Lead efforts to identify and implement process efficiency and sustainability improvements and cost controls within the function
  9. Maintain current knowledge of infection control and housekeeping standards, practices, equipment and technology
  10. Assist in preparing budget estimates and justifications for housekeeping programs
  11. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  12. Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience plus two (2) years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning practices, chemicals and equipment
  • Previous housekeeping or building maintenance supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including conflict resolution
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Ability to perform physical/manual labor for extended periods of time such as bending, stooping, lifting and walking
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Excel and Word

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • May be exposed to typical housekeeping chemicals, including hot and cold soapy water, glass, tile, toilet and carpet cleaners, polishing / buffing chemicals, etc.
  • May be exposed to dust, tobacco waste or other irritants
  • Exposure to climate conditions of the geographic area
  • Hours may vary due to operational need
