The Lake Life is Calling.

Nestled on the shores of Lake LBJ in the Texas Hill Country, Horseshoe Bay Resort is a 17,000-acre paradise where luxury meets genuine Texas hospitality. Located just a short drive from Austin, we offer a world-class outdoor lifestyle, premier golf, and a commitment to career growth. Whether you are a local or looking to relocate, we provide the tools-including subsidized housing and professional development-to help you build your success story.

Job Summary

As a Lead Bartender, you are the backbone of our beverage program. You will balance high-volume, precision mixology with shift leadership. In addition to providing elite service to our members and guests, you will direct the team in the absence of a manager-handling scheduling adjustments, delegating tasks, and providing hands-on mentorship to fellow associates.

Core Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead shift operations, manage associate no-shows, and provide real-time guidance to ensure seamless service.
  • Mixology & Service: Execute resort-standard cocktails using exact recipes and portions; maintain expert knowledge of house wines, craft beers, and premium spirits.
  • Operations: Manage bar requisitions and inventory pars; ensure the bar is stocked, organized, and cleaned to specification.
  • Communication: Conduct pre-shift briefings and complete daily operational reports to ensure fluidity between management and staff.
  • Compliance: Maintain impeccable sanitary conditions and strictly adhere to TABC regulations and OSHA Hazard Communication standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven bartending experience, ideally in a luxury resort or high-volume fine dining environment.
  • Certifications: Valid TABC and Food Handler's certifications (required).
  • Age: Must be 18+ (21+ preferred).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal skills; ability to engage with a diverse membership and lead a team with clarity.
  • Standards: Impeccable grooming and professional appearance.

The Perks of Paradise

We believe "work" should feel like a destination. Our comprehensive benefits include:

  • Financial & Security: Competitive pay, 401k with employer match, and Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life).
  • Lifestyle: Subsidized associate housing and shuttle service, weekly meal subsidies, and paid time off.
  • Resort Privileges: Discounts on retail and dining, plus access to golf and resort amenities (based on occupancy).
  • Travel: Exclusive stays at over 100 Crescent Hotels & Resorts properties nationwide.
