National Grid Ventures (NGV) is looking for a knowledgeable, curious, and driven Principal Transmission Line Engineer to join our Transmission Development and Asset Development Team. This role will support all aspects of overhead transmission line development, including high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and high-voltage alternating current (HVAC) projects, from early-stage concept development through detailed design and execution. The candidate will interface with engineering consultants, cable and equipment suppliers, permitting teams, and key internal and external stakeholders. The Principal Transmission Line Engineer will serve as a technical leader - providing guidance, expertise, and decision-making support to management. This role will provide support to key initiatives driving NGV's growth and partnerships throughout the US. Key Accountabilities

Salary Downstate NY $161,000 - $189,000 a year New England MA $150,000 - $176,000 a year National Grid utilizes an assessment that evaluates the job qualifications/characteristics using AI or statistically based scoring.
