National Pharmaceutical Sales Program Manager

Hematology/Oncology

We have an exciting opportunity for an experience and successful pharmaceutical sales leader to join our team. This is a unique role managing a team of hybrid remote/field-based hematology oncology sales representatives.

Position Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing Hybrid Sales Representatives (HSRs) and ensuring the successful execution of program and client objectives. The Program Manager serves as the primary liaison between Amplity and the client, managing client expectations, team performance, and program deliverables. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, effective communication, strategic planning, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The Program Manager will monitor and coach the HSR team to optimize performance, ensure compliance, and deliver measurable results.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage Hybrid Sales Representatives (HSRs) to achieve sales performance and program goals.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to make timely, informed decisions that benefit the team and client objectives.
  • Monitor team metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance overall team performance.
  • Navigate ambiguity and changing priorities with ease while maintaining focus on program goals and delivering results.
  • Effectively assess program goals and challenges, develop actionable plans, and align resources to meet objectives.
  • Build trust and rapport quickly, effectively managing relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders while navigating complex situations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure alignment with client objectives, program deliverables, and territory sales goals.
  • Monitor team metrics, sales call activity, and performance, providing regular coaching and feedback to drive results.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins with HSRs to ensure alignment and provide support.
  • Oversee the execution of daily sales activities by HSRs, ensuring adherence to program expectations and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for client communications, delivering timely updates and insights to maintain a strong working relationship.
  • Partner with Amplity and client field-based teams to coordinate territory coverage and optimize sales efforts.
  • Analyze program data and team performance metrics, preparing reports and presentations for client and Amplity management.
  • Ensure proper utilization of Amplity/Client CRM systems, verifying data entry and accuracy of reports, target responses, call activity, and follow-up actions.
  • Proactively address challenges and barriers, ensuring resolution while maintaining team and client alignment.
  • Fully comply with all laws, regulations, Amplity policies, the Code of Conduct, privacy and data guidelines, and relevant state and federal laws.

Key Working Relationships

  • Reports to Amplity Senior Management.
  • Directly manages Hybrid Sales Representatives (HSRs).
  • Ensures strong client engagement, understands client needs, and delivers results that exceed expectations.
  • Collaborates closely with Amplity home office support and client stakeholders.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the client and program team members.

Education and Experience
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
  • A minimum of 12+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience with experience managing pharmaceutical specialty sales teams with demonstrated success in driving team performance.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • Hematology/Oncology experience a strong plus.
  • Experience hiring pharmaceutical sales talent
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and coach team members to achieve their highest potential while creating a culture of accountability and success.
  • Strong compliance focus and ability to ensure adherence to industry regulations.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence in person and virtually.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Successfully pass all Amplity and client-required training.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record; travel as needed 50%+ via auto and air.

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
