What will YOU be doing for us? The Enrollment Specialist I processes enrollment transactions accurately and efficiently to ensure timely and correct setup of member and group information. This role focuses on data entry, verification, and maintenance of enrollment records while adhering to established procedures and quality standards. What will YOU be working on?
- Responsible for accurate, timely updating of member enrollment records to reflect correct effective/termed eligibility dates and benefit plans per client specific requirements within SLAs.
- Coordinate work with multiple departments (Claims intake, Dental Review) to ensure that enrollment changes are handled timely and accurately and client turnaround times are met.
- Support member fulfillment requests which include but are not limited to, ordering ID cards, member manuals, provider directories, and welcome letters.
- Assist with Claims Intake on researching member records for claim entry as necessary.
- Perform follow-up with internal departments and management team on status of any open enrollment issues or risks to not meeting client requirements.
- Identify potential efficiencies and workflow improvements based on knowledge of industry and internal business practices.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with clients supporting enrollment activities.
- Act as a liaison for internal and external communications between the client and internal team members.
- Maintain effective relationships and understanding of workflows to facilitate quick and effective resolutions to client concerns.
- Review EDI file feeds and ID cards for enrollment discrepancies.
What qualifications do YOU need to have to be a GOOD candidate? Required Level of Education, Licenses, and/or Certificates
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Level of Experience
- 1+ years of related experience in administrative support, data entry and/or customer service.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong data entry/typing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and demonstrate time management skills
- Ability to work independently or in a group setting
What qualifications do YOU need to have to be a GREAT candidate? Preferred Level of Experience
- Previous insurance industry experience
