The Area Revenue Manager has the responsibility for maximizing overall lodging revenue and gaining market share across a portfolio of resort lodging properties through the development, implementation, and management of effective inventory and pricing strategies in all distribution channels based on demand, market, and competitor analysis. The Area Revenue Manager plays a key analytical and strategic role in helping to maximize the revenue of all revenue-producing products offered across assigned properties, reporting to the Regional Director of Commercial Excellence - Rockies.
Responsible for the analysis of pricing, selling strategies, and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities at both the property and portfolio level, as well as working closely with resort leadership and cross-functional teams to make informed, data-driven decisions that grow revenue and increase profitability. This position provides centralized revenue management support to multiple properties, ensuring consistent execution of revenue management processes, tools, and standards while accounting for unique market dynamics at each location.
This position will have responsibility for weekly and monthly reporting across lodging and other revenue-producing divisions to guide pricing, inventory, and commercial strategy changes relative to supply and demand. This position will be located remote within the geographic region supported (Rocky Mountain region) and may require regular travel between assigned properties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Planning & Budgeting (Commercial)
- Develops top-line lodging room revenue budgets by segment for assigned properties; accurately prepares weekly, monthly, and long-range forecasts at both the individual property and portfolio level, with guidance from the Regional Director, Commercial Excellence and key resort stakeholders.
- Continually reviews portfolio-level analytics and KPIs to ensure metrics are meaningful, actionable, and instill executive-level confidence in the centralized Revenue Management function.
- Business Performance Management
- Works closely with the resort Revenue Management Team, V.P. of Lodging, V.P. of Marketing, Hotel GMs, and Sales leadership to develop, implement, and analyze portfolio-wide pricing, inventory, and sales strategies across all market segments and distribution channels.
- Serves as the primary Revenue Management point of contact for assigned properties, providing functional expertise and strategic guidance to property leadership teams while ensuring alignment with centralized revenue management objectives.
- Builds and manages, on a daily basis, rates, inventory, and restrictions for rooms and related products across multiple properties in all distribution channels and inventory systems (SMS, Maestro, Inntopia, SynXis, extranets, etc.), maintaining visibility and control at least 12 months out.
- Analyzes current and proposed pricing, yield management strategies, and performance metrics across the portfolio to ensure revenue, market share, and profitability targets are achieved.
- Manages and optimizes the revenue management system (Duetto), ensuring consistent application of pricing logic, length-of-stay controls, inventory management, and selling strategies across properties, while allowing for market-specific adjustments.
- Leads and participates in regular Revenue Management and Sales Strategy meetings with property leadership teams; facilitates cross-property collaboration and shares best practices to drive consistent execution and performance improvement.
- Monitors competitive positioning and market dynamics across assigned markets, including research into comparable resort and destination offerings, to inform pricing, packaging, and channel strategies.
- Post-Mortem Analysis & Review
- Track performance and adjust pricing recommendations and strategy as needed
- Monitor revenue growth, demand-forecast accuracy, and profitability; dynamically adjust prices as needed
- Develop insights and action plans and drive execution to meet revenue targets; leverage advanced analytics and scenario planning where appropriate
- Financial Partnership, Tools & Training
- Evaluates existing reporting, develops new standardized and property-specific reports, and produces regular portfolio-level analyses as defined by Revenue Management, Hospitality, and core business departments. Understands both local and enterprise data structures to retrieve and analyze relevant information.
- Uses productivity software (Excel), business intelligence tools (Microsoft Power BI), and advanced analytical models to assess trends, booking pace, future demand periods, and opportunity gaps across properties, clearly communicating recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Works closely with marketing, sales, business operations, website operations, call center, hospitality, finance, and resort operations teams to ensure revenue strategies are effectively implemented and adjusted based on performance and changing conditions.
- Ensures full adoption and consistent application of Revenue Management processes, tools, and systems across assigned properties; supports the implementation of new technologies, enhancements, and process improvements.
- Develops and oversees standardized processes related to demand forecasting, revenue optimization, inventory control, and opportunity analysis at scale, while maintaining flexibility to address unique property needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years relevant professional experience, including 3-5+ years of direct revenue management experience in a hotel/resort setting.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial analytics, or closely related fields within multi-site consumer services (e.g., resorts, hospitality, rentals, retail); proven impact on revenue and margin
- Deep expertise in pricing strategy and promotions, demand forecasting (time-series, seasonality), and yield/elasticity concepts; able to adjust strategy quickly to changing demand (e.g., weather events) and inventory positions
- Strong financial acumen: P&L drivers, margin/yield, ROI, forecast accuracy; translates insights into action plans and course-corrections
- Advanced analytical skills and tool fluency: Excel/Sheets (advanced), dashboarding/BI (e.g., Tableau/Power BI or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience operationalizing pricing at scale: price build, QA, upload/activation, monitoring, and issue troubleshooting in coordination with resorts and analysts
- Proven cross-functional influence and communication skills with executives (Hotel GMs, Resort Presidents) and partners (Commercial, IT, Tooling/Best Practices, Product Leads); facilitates alignment meetings and decision forums
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams across a seasonal cadence
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Required: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business discipline (e.g., Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Business, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base salary range: $80,000-112,000 per year
