Description

Alliance is the largest exclusive air emissions stack testing services company in the United States. Alliance Emissions Monitoring (AEM) is our Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) division. Alliance Technical Group is filling a MOC Technician. This role is in Lemont, IL. This position is a great opportunity to join a growing company while developing your own career. The pay range of this position is $19.50/hr to $23.00/hr DOE. This job pays biweekly with great benefits, possible annual profit sharing and vacation time.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented MOC Technician to support engineering and operations teams through the development, editing, and maintenance of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and technical blueprints. This role ensures accurate process documentation, drawing integrity, and compliance with applicable standards across industrial projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Develop, revise, and maintain P&IDs in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
  • Edit and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) to reflect system modifications and process improvements
  • Modify and revise engineering blueprints and technical drawings as required
  • Interpret process data, equipment specifications, and engineering markups to generate accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with process, mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to ensure design accuracy
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) documentation and as-built updates
  • Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and document management systems
  • Conduct internal drawing reviews to ensure consistency and compliance


Required Qualifications:



  • 3+ years of experience creating and editing P&IDs, PFDs, and industrial blueprints
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu software helpful
  • Strong understanding of piping systems, valves, instrumentation, and process equipment
  • Knowledge of ISA symbology and industry drafting standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in chemical, energy, environmental, or manufacturing industries
  • Familiarity with document control systems and revision tracking
  • Experience supporting plant modifications or capital projects
